MOVABLE MAGAZINE

In 2014, I created and edited an independent self-published magazine called Movable. I sourced and communicated with artists and contributors. A blog was maintained for updates, marketing with brick and mortars, events, email campaigns, and online. Movable Magazine was hosted by brands for educational events and workshops.

Dreamers + Doers: providence Zine Workshop

As the creator and editor of the newly launched Movable Magazine (at the time), I led a zine-making workshop for RISD students and the local community. It was a success as the magazines audience grew quickly. In partnership with Urban Outfitters, The Salon PVD, and catered by Julian’s restaurant.

VICE MEdia Group 2009 - 2010

Assigned creative briefs. HTML layouts in Dreamweaver for weekly newsletters and press releases. Attended editorial meetings, pitched stories to assistant editor and editor in chief. Wrote interviews, book and music reviews, stories, and photography for selected articles. Networked, brand promotion, and awareness of current trends.
